LiFePO4 Battery System
LiFePO4 battery, short for lithium iron phosphate, is a type of lithium-ion battery that uses lithium iron phosphate as the cathode material and graphite as the anode. It is known for its superior safety, longer cycle life, and higher depth of discharge compared to other lithium-ion chemistry like NMC or traditional lithium-ion, and it is also safer than lead-acid batteries. LiFePO4 batteries are cobalt-free, which reduces environmental and humanitarian concerns associated with cobalt mining.
